Michael Stoll is project director of the Public Press (www.public-press.org), a nascent nonprofit news service for the San Francisco Bay Area fashioned on the public broadcasting business model. He teaches journalism part time at San Jose State University, where he was previously associate director of Grade the News (www.gradethenews.org), a media watchdog group for the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been a reporter at the Hartford Courant, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the San Francisco Examiner, and written freelance for Columbia Journalism Review, Earth Island Journal, SF Weekly, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Quill, the Christian Science Monitor, Columbia Journalism Review and the New York Times. This meetup helps individuals and businesses start and grow their businesses online.  Also, this meetup is currently ranked as one of the “Top 50” Business Meetup groups in the nation by Meetup.com and American Express.  One of his biggest achievements has been building an advertising and marketing company that worked with hundreds of local and national companies. In this company, Bill developed and headed up the sales system where he recruited and trained dozens of salespeople.
